Expect more thrills and heart-pounding tyre-smoking action on the track because this time, the competition will be more intense than its preceding rounds. The earlier legs of the Achilles Formula Drift Asia series were held in Malaysia in May and Singapore in June 2012.
The premiere event of 36BOL Nations Cup was held in Malaysia on May 19th 2012 with Japanese duo Daigo Saito and Max Orido emerged as its first champions. 36BOL Nations Cup holders beat their rivals from Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, and Singapore to claim the highly coveted title. Following rousing welcome it received from fans in Malaysia, the competition is now return to continue its success in Jakarta under new title, the 36BOL Asia Drift Cup.
The 36BOL Asia Drift Cup on 17 November 2012 is a newly introduced competition segment that consists of 6 teams of 2 top drifters each. Unlike traditional drifting competition, the competition will be judged based on the following elements:
• Each Team is given 2 runs each
• Each team is to take the same line and angle as qualifying
• Cars are required to be in close proximity to each other
• On each run, the chase car must overtake the lead car during drift
• Each run will be scored based on a maximum of 10 points
• Team with highest combined score from both runs wins
Drivers participating in the inaugural 36BOL Asia Drift Cup are:

X-Mini - Frederic Asabo and Ken Gushi

Indonesia - Rifat Sungkar and Rhenadi Arinton
The best team will perform top-class action with creative tricks, synchronized moves in extreme difficulty level. The whole spectacular event will be broadcasted live on STAR Sports channel on Sunday, 18 November, from 3.30pm to 5.30pm (Jakarta time).
