He has spent over 20 years garnering expertise in his field and is currently the President of the Huntsville plastic surgery practice, Lappert Plastic surgery. In his practice, Dr. Patrick Lappert emphasizes minimally invasive surgical procedures in order to ensure that his patients are able to return to their lives as soon as possible after having surgery.
Born in Caracas and raised in San Francisco, Dr. Patrick Lappert graduated in 1979 with a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from the University of California, Santa Barbara. He went on to earn his medical degree from Uniformed Services University four years later, and then studied as a Flight Surgeon at the Naval Aerospace Medical Institute in Pensacola, Florida. Dr. Lappert completed his residencies in General Surgery and Plastic Surgery at the Naval Hospital in Oakland, California, and the University of Tennessee, respectively.
From 1978 to 2002, Dr. Lappert served in the United States Navy, where he reached the rank of Captain and was awarded the Navy Commendation Medal, the Humanitarian Service Medal, and a Meritorious Unit Citation. He was a Flight Surgeon in Marine Fighter/Attack Squadron 451 for two years, and a Specialty Leader in Plastic Surgery to the Surgeon General of the United States Navy.
Outside of his practice, Dr. Lappert currently serves as a Staff Plastic Surgeon and Director of Surgical Services at Parkway Medical Center, and Staff Plastic Surgeon at Madison Surgery Center. In his spare time, he enjoys sailing, flying, and motorcycle riding. Dr. Patrick Lappert is the father of six children and currently resides in the Huntsville/Madison, Alabama area with his wife of over 30 years.
