(Entertainment-NewsWire.com, April 11, 2013 ) San Francisco, CA -- According to Kathy Griffin at her latest Cincinnati performance, her show will no longer be displayed by the Bravo Network starting this year.
Last week the network said it would be retaining nearly a dozen shows, and was ready to air another dozen and a half new shows as well. All of the “Real Housewives” will be returning in their respective locations. However, for Griffin, there appears to be no new lease on her reality show life. Griffin has been on the network both on her show Living on the D List as well as her own talk show.
There are likely a number of reasons for the cancellation, though one would likely be wise to look at the cost involved in a new reality show, which is far less than the production of a talk show. This is especially true when the star does deserve at least a decent salary.
According to recent rumors, Griffin shot a pilot for a CNN with Anderson Cooper, and so it seems clear that Griffin is not hanging up her gloves for good.
Elsewhere on CNN, anchor and chief business correspondent Ali Velshi finished a 12-year run on the network, and is now moving to Al Jazeera America news channel.
"Based in New York, the as yet-to-be named 30-minute magazine-style program will initially launch in a weekly format but is expected to move to a five-days-a-week schedule by year's end," the news release read.
"The program will cover a variety of topics including employment, personal finance, healthcare and education and will feature a mix of field reports, studio guests and interactive discussions designed to highlight how economic developments in the U.S. and around the globe affect the daily lives of Americans."
