However, it can often be overwhelming to prep for your senior photos. Trendy or traditional? Flashy or subdued? Classy but Fun - "Your wardrobe should certainly be a reflection of the latest trends. However, it is also a good idea to consider the fact that these pictures will need to stand the test of time. While a trendy tank top may seem fun, it may not have the same appeal in ten or twenty years. Classic staples like fitted blouses and little black dresses never go out of style."
Backdrops - "Select a simple backdrop that matches your skin tone and coloring. Darker girls should go for camel or beige backdrops, while pale princesses should select deep blues or browns. These contrasts will help to make your gorgeous features pop."
Listen to Your Mother - "When it comes to your hair and makeup, listen to your mom. Select simple colors, and go easy on the eyeliner. As far as hair goes, there is not a single chick out there who can't rock a sleek up-do. Getting your hair out of the way opens up your face - which is what everyone wants to see!"
Check your School's Guidelines - "Familiarize yourself with your school's guidelines as far as what can and cannot appear in the yearbook. Some stricter or religious schools don't allow spaghetti straps or strapless tops, and a handful of schools require students to be photographed in their uniforms. Your parents will not be too pleased if your pricey student photos don't qualify to be printed in the yearbook!"
