(EMAILWIRE.COM, August 06, 2009 ) CHICAGO, IL – On August 27th, rapidly emerging rock band “The Circle View” (www.myspace.com/thecircleview ) will be performing tracks from their new CD “The Dither Age” at Goose Island in Wrigleyville. The Chicago Cubs are scheduled to host the Washington Nationals that afternoon, so the venue is expected to be packed.
The Circle View recently received a glowing review on InfamousGuitar.com. Forming in winter 2008, FREELANCE (founder, vocals, guitar, keyboards, and production), Dominic Doria (bass guitar, background vocals), Tom Howell (guitar) and Paul Bauer (drums) joined forces and embarked on their journey to change the world. The band immediately set their objective on completing a full-length album. The Dither Age released July 8, 2009 with a successful release party July 10th at the legendary Chicago venue the Elbo Room. One lucky fan even walked away with FREELANCE’s guitar as a parting souvenir from the historic night. From the band’s blog, “…we really tried to push the limits of spontaneity uniting us and the fans in what was a genuinely special moment.”
Lead vocalist and creative force behind the band, FREELANCE mixes passionate melodies with anger-fueled rapping to create his unique sound. Integral to their identity as a band, The Circle View voice innovative viewpoints. Much like their influencers, Rage Against the Machine, who shout highly critical messages of the domestic and foreign policies of both current and previous US governments, The Circle View offers up an ideology of wisdom. The band claims they exist to give retrospect in that humans must learn to coexist; the point of view that we alone stand as our own greatest natural resource.
