Beijing, China has come over all Willy Wonka and started to plan a chocolate factory to cater to the countryÂ’s chocoholics.
Not only will the park have an edible Great Wall of China, it will also boast a life-size chocolate Terracotta Army and versions of famous paintings. Yum!
Built in the vein of Roald Dahl's famous childrenÂ’s book Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, the theme park is due to open its (chocolate?!) doors in January 2010, and will be located in the Olympic Green, which also includes the iconic Bird's Nest stadium and the Water Cube aquatics centre used during the Beijing Summer Games last year.
Tina Cheng, General Manager of the company that will operate the Beijing park, said, “Our 'chocolate wonderland' will be beyond the imagination.”
Well known chocolate makers from all over the world have already expressed an interest in taking part in the project and helping to create some of the tasty attractions.
