Chicago Man Buys Tobacco Over Internet - Now Smokes Two Packs a Day

(EMAILWIRE.COM, February 08, 2010 ) Chicago, IL - With more and more people losing jobs due to the recession, consumers are seeking intelligent ways to save money on groceries, gas, bills, and bad habits. One man decided to search for a cheaper way to continue smoking cigarettes without breaking the bank. Jared Maltrest said; "basically I just wanted to save some money, I mean I lost my job and smoking cigarettes is kind of my outlet to stress."

Jared got online and began searching for online suppliers of tobacco, and discovered much like an Airport, cigarettes are available tax free when purchased purchased online. Jared; "at first I was skeptical, the were like half the price of the ones I buy from the gas station. It seemed like it was some kinda scam or something, but I searched around for review and it looked safe, so I ordered two cartons of Marlboro Reds."

Jared has previously been smoking four cigarettes a day, for the last two years. But after discovering he could save so much money his habit began to consume him. Jared; "I love smoking, it makes me feel good, and the only reason I don't smoke more is because I cant afford to. I was laid off for smoking inside the office at *****tech. If it was possible for me to smoke all day I would, and now I can."

Jared's health insurance costs have skyrocketed due to his excessive smoking, but that hasn't stopped him from buying cigarettes online. Jared explains; "with all the money I save, I really don't need a job. Im on unemployment, and i recycle most of my soda and beer cans so thats enough to buy me 3-4 cartons per month without even dipping into my support money.

This begs the question, are taxes in place for a reason? Will Jared meet an early demise, and is the US Government to blame for not taxing his tobacco? Time will tell, but until then Jared as well as thousands of other Americans continue to save money buying brand name cigarettes over the internet while avoiding the high taxes charged when purchasing in a retail store.
