(Entertainment-NewsWire.com, October 02, 2012 ) San Francisco, CA- A new kitchen suite promises to be the Ferrari of home cooking. As expected, it will come at a high price.
Head designer Henrik Otto tells the Daily Mail that the Electrolux Grand Cuisine addresses all the needs of home cooking, including issues people didn’t know they had.
“The attention to detail in every single element ensures we have solved problems that the home chef does not even know need solving,” Otto said, “from the perfect angle of the handle on the combination oven to the interactive interfaces that can be operated with an elbow while your hands are full.”
The kitchens may be the most expensive, at up to 250,000 British pounds. The custom-made stove alone can run up to 160,000 pounds.
The devices that make up the kitchen package are designed for those who seek professional equipment such as that used by celebrity chefs including Heston Blumenthal and Ferran Adria. The range was launched by chef Tom Aitkens, who says the products are good enough for a professional kitchen.
The least expensive arrangements start at 72,000 pounds.
Included in the equipment are blast chillers, vacuum packers and a smart oven that has a hard drive and a security system. The vacuum sealers will allow cooks to keep their foods fresh, and the chiller will cool meals down rapidly so that bacteria can’t get a foothold. The Molteni stove oven adds humidity settings to its temperature controls and enables cooks to use a memory stick.
Electrolux says its products will tap into a market niche revealed by the popularity of cooking shows.
