The ceremony was hosted at World Travel Market in London, as part of World Responsible Tourism Day on 7th November, where the 14 category Awards and overall winner's trophy were handed out by Justin Francis, Managing Director of responsibletravel.com, (organizers and founders of of the Awards), and Amanda Wills, Managing Director of Virgin Holidays (in their third year as headline sponsor of the Awards).
The Sanctuary at Ol Lentille is a ground-breaking partnership between private investors, conservation organizations and the neighboring Maasai and Samburu communities balancing luxury travel and economic development with ambitious conservation and community development programs.
