(Entertainment-NewsWire.com, March 05, 2013 ) Miami Beach, FL -- A rather spectacular new tattoo of Cheryl Cole was unveiled on her back as Girls Aloud began their reunion tour in Newcastle.
The 29-year-old joined group-mates Kimberley Walsh, Nadine Coyle, Nicola Roberts, and Sarah Harding on stage, as a Girls Aloud sign was lowered from the roof.
A series of skimpy outfits, which included a cropped top and backless dress, Cheryl was clearly interested in revealing the new tattoo of red roses, across the entirety of her lower back.
Cheryl has already had a well-known collection of tattoos, including designs on her leg, lower back, and the edge of her hand. She has previously spoken on the concept of getting her back tattooed with her brand of body art.
She told InStyle magazine: "Tattoos are addictive, they really are. If it was up to me - and I could be brave for one day - I would have my whole back done.
"My friends say 'Cheryl, please, you might regret it' - but to me, it's art."
All the girls went through a series of costumes during the show. Each wore matching strapless red sequined gowns to conjure flashes of Jessica Rabbit from cartoonized-years past.
The group, who has reunited for their 10-year anniversary, were noticeably emotional as the show closed.
Cheryl later tweeted: "I wish I could find the words to express how I feel right now!! Newcastle was perfect! Thank you #proudgeordie #tentour"
