The technology includes a two-cell robotic processing unit for increased production rates, reduced lead times and faster delivery of sheet metal fabrication.
The first cell is an ABB LaserCut 500C, featuring an ABB IRB 2400 robot with a rigid arm for high accuracy precision laser cutting. This is integrated with an IPG Photonics 3KW laser and a Laser Mech Zero Degree Fibercut head. The solution is completed with an indexing dial table on which the experienced operator places the part for presentation to the robot.
The second cell is an ABB LaserCut 600R with the same parts as the first cell The difference is the dial table in the second cell includes a 360 degree rotary allowing for greater ability to put the part in the optimal angle to the laser head.
