Even fewer get to go to a wedding expecting to also shoot a graduation party. However, that is exactly what was in store for photographers Noah Kalina and Allyson Magda as they were charged with shooting Mark Zuckerberg and Pricilla Chan's under the-radar wedding.
Noah Kalina, who is known for his viral everyday time-lapse video, was allowed to shoot the standard images that befall the job of any photographers wedding. The simple standard of Zuckerberg and his new wife side-by-side in their wedding garb was plastered onto the CEOs facebook page. Kalina shot the photo using a Canon 5D Mark II and a 24-70mm lens, stating that he spent 15 minutes editing the final resulting photograph.
Magda, who is a Northern California professional photographer, was told the same thing everyone else at the wedding: that it was a surprise graduation party for Priscilla. Even while this was not the first time such a trick had been pulled, Magda assumed something fishy was brewing. Still, she was unable to be sure she was set to shoot a secret wedding until she finally arrived at Zuckerbergs' Palo Alto home.
Details of the wedding are still not well known, and all those in attendance agreed to not disclose specifics. That said, the photos show a rather happy young couple that is sure to have many asking just what their future plans are, while the photographers will certainly be pegged as possible “spillers of the beans” as well regarding the occasion. One would assume they have been compensated handsomely to keep their respective mouths closed.
