Sales have been steadily improving since the beginning of 2013, when the product was introduced to the Amazon marketplace.

What is a pop filter?
Pop filters are commonplace in radio stations and recording studios. With the explosion in home recording and podcasting they are a familiar site in many home recording setups now as well. It is basically a mesh, held within a circular frame. The frame is on a long flexible next to allow for easy and accurate positioning in front of the microphone, and it usually clamps on to a microphone stand or boom. The mesh sits right in front of the microphone and diffuses the air that is produced when letters such as "p" and "b" are enunciated. Rather than this air hitting the microphone and distorting the recording, the air is thinned out. The sound still gets through, but the effect of the plosive sounds are greatly reduced.
