(Entertainment-NewsWire.com, October 30, 2013 ) Roanoke, VA -- Jonathan Craddock of Roanoke, VA is very excited to release a digital version of his Mother's cookbook! This book was previously only available in limited hardback availability.
Bernice G. Craddock focused her entire life on being a great wife, mother and homemaker. Throughout her life she created and collected incredible Southern recipes. Consequently, she became renown and infamous for her creations.
One of her greatest joys in life was to provide for her family and that meant A1 scrumptious 8-course meals. Yes, an 8-course meal was a routine dinner. Breakfast was 5 to 6 courses!
So, to a large degree, great cooking represented her life and she always did it to the best of her ability. Her preparations were always the talk of every gathering. Every time she made something she had to write the recipe for someone. Her infamy became very widespread throughout Southeastern United States.
At 78 years young, she decided to write her own Southern cookbook. Her greatest challenge was narrowing it down to her 500 "most favorite" recipes. She accomplished it and sold out 3 hard copy printings very quickly. These were even sold in local bookstores and shops around Virginia.
Additionally, when she "retired", she began baking cakes and selling them to local restaurants. The fresh, homemade "Coconut Snowball" or the Red Velvet and the German Chocolate were HUGE hits. She would sell these for $25 and the restaurant would charge $7-8 a slice. Patrons happily paid this and didn't like it when they ran out.
This book is now available in the Amazon/Kindle store and other platforms.
