Auphonix Flat Clamp Filter For Desktops And Blue Yeti Condenser Microphones Retailing Now On Amazon

(Entertainment-NewsWire.com, January 19, 2014 ) Beaverton, OR -- Zanshin Marketing announced recently that their new product, the Auphonix flat clamp pop filter was available for purchase on Amazon.

The product has proven popular, and reviews of the pop filter show that customers really appreciate the quality of the construction and the positive effect the filter has on their recordinds. While the clamp was specifically designed to be used on a desktop, customers are also attaching the microphone directly to their equipment. On certain types of equipment such as microphone arms and the Blue Yeti microphone, the clamp is a perfect fit.

The new filter arrived at Amazon's warehouse in Chattanooga Tennessee in early January, and is consistently rising up the online giant's best-seller rankings.

"It was customer demand that brought about the creation of the Flat Clamp pop filter." Lee Nolan from Zanshin Marketing said today. "Because of a number of questions on Amazon, comments in reviews, and direct contact by customers, it became obvious that nobody was catering to people who did not have a tubular microphone stand to attach a standard filter to. We were surprised at the lack of attention to this segment of the market and decided to do something about it. We designed a pop filter that could be clamped to a desktop, to make it useful regardless of the equipment type, but the fact that customers are telling us that it clamps directly to their equipment is very pleasing to us."

The Blue Yeti microphone is a very popular USB condenser microphone, and there is a microphone pop filter that is marketed by the same company. But reviews on Amazon, on online forums and indeed on Blue's site itself shows that customers struggle to work out how to attach the clamp to their microphone.

Nolan had this to say. "The Auphonix Flat Clamp Filter does fit on the Blue Yeti, customers have confirmed this in their reviews, and one customer even uploaded a photo of his setup with the Blue Yeti and the Auphonix Pop Filter. We're delighted that we were able to address this pain point for many Blue Yeti owners."

So, why is a pop filter necessary for microphones? A pop filter is just a device consisting of a frame, a metal or nylon mesh, and a clamp to attach it to the equipment. The mesh, which can be a single mesh or a double mesh like the Auphonix one, causes the air from strong "plosive" consonants to be dispersed.

If this is not done then sounds like P and B, which cause a sharp burst of air when expressed, hit the microphone quite hard and can cause an unpleasant thumping or thudding sound. A pop filter, properly positioned, can eliminate these problematic plosives, resulting in a much cleaner audio recording.

Nolan commented, "Recording artists and radio stations use pop filters, because they know the difference they make. Even though there are many amateur recording artists around, people doing podcasts or creating their own YouTube or Facebook channels, it doesn't mean they need to have amateur-sounding recordings".

The pop filter is available now on Amazon. http://www.amazon.com/Auphonix-Clamp-Filter-Podcasts-Voiceovers/dp/B00HBN6T1I/.

To celebrate the launch, there is a discount coupon that can be used for the month of January. The coupon code PR1POP10, entered during checkout, will give the customer a $10 discount off the price (a 50% discount)
