(Entertainment-NewsWire.com, February 05, 2014 ) Washington, DC -- Husband and Wife duo Evan and Katie Featherstone (of Washington Social Club, Five Four, and The Sentiment fame) are headlining at the Velvet Lounge on February 8th as part of their new band, The Cedar Fires.
The Cedar Fires blends what the Washington Post describes as Evan's "cozily disorienting" rock licks with Katie's driving baselines and airy vocals to create a sound all their own. Choral guitars are layered beneath haunting, catching melodies riding on a dance pop rhythm section.
The Cedar Fires will be joined by fellow former Washington Social Club members Jared Featherstone (keys, guitar) and Randy Scope (drums) for an evening of face melting rock.
Joining The Cedar Fires on stage for the evening will be Short Lives (members of former DC band Alphabetical Order) and Tiger Horse (members of former DC band Five Four).
