Kick Mats by Freddie and Sebbie - Car Seat Back Protectors 2 Pack - Guaranteed To Protect Car Seats From Scuffs And Stains

(Entertainment-NewsWire.com, October 03, 2014 ) Las Vegas, NV -- Top model Ali Laudry came along with her entire family while hosting the third annual Red CARpet Safety Awareness event, She posed for photos on the red carpet, while carrying her 2 year old son Marcelo in her arms and accompanied by her daughter Estela, aged seven, her one-year-old son Valentin and husband Alejandro Monteverde. Al really looked to be in good shape while on a personal mission to inform parents with young kids about the safety implications of car seats during the annual celebrity event held in LA.

AL said she really wanted to encourage parents to begin educating themselves about car safety seats, especially as children are so fragile and vulnerable. She said... "Car seat producers recommend for ultimate protection that babies are kept in a rear-facing car seat for as long as possible, which is usually up until they are about 2 years old. Exact height and weight limit measurements are always found on the side or back of most car safety seats. Babies and young children who are positioned in rear-facing seats will get the maximum protection possible for the head, neck and spine." She then finished by saying that it was especially important for children in a rear-facing position to be placed in a back seat as far away from any airbag as possible.

After answering a few unrelated questions from the audience, she continued to say that children should be moved to a forward-facing car seat when children outgrow a rear-facing seat around the age of 2. She continued by saying... "The seat should still remain in the back and be certain to attach the top tether after tightening and be careful to lock the seat belt or lower anchors, and it will be recommended that the top tether be used until children weigh 40 pounds. From February 2014, the majority of car seat labels will give details about exactly how much children can weigh, so still use the lower anchors and top tether."

Final tips from Al reveal that Kids can be kept in some forward-facing car safety seats til they weigh between 65 and 80 pounds depending on the car seat limits. She finished the car safety session by saying... "To be safe just check the car seat label to see the exact measurements, and be sure that the use of lower anchors or top tether is discontinued when children reach the limits set by your car seat and car manufacturers. For anyone with doubts just read the manual to find out what those limits are. Then finally kids can be switched to a seat belt that goes through the car seat, and seat belts are made to protect us all, from very heavy adults to small children who have outgrown a booster seat.

Father of 4 Mr Neil Speight, co-director of Nevada based car and kids accessory company "Freddie and Sebbie" said... "I actually kept my young kids rear-facing as long as possible. and then moved onto a booster seat. Many of his friends were already booster free, so I had to explain to my son the importance of being secure. I was happy to see that he clearly understood the safety aspect, but not so happy when he began kicking the back of my seat, leaving terrible scuff marks behind, and difficult to remove. Though the kicking has become a bit of a nasty habit, at least the Kick Mats I had installed are preventing the scuff marks from appearing."
