(Entertainment-NewsWire.com, February 23, 2015 ) Shadow Hills, CA -- Step and Repeat LA exhibited at LA Cookie Con and Sweets, the west coast's biggest baking and pastry convention. The convention was held at the Pasadena Convention Center on January 25, 2015 and featured special guest, Ron Ben-Israel of the Food Network's Sweet Genius. Ben-Israel has also been noted to be Martha Stewart's favorite cake maker, and he was named Best Baker by Vogue magazine.
Also exhibiting their wares and skills was an amazing array of celebrity chefs, including contestants from such culinary shows as Master Chef, Cupcake Wars, Cake Boss and several YouTube baking stars. A baking contest was featured for those who wished to have their culinary creations judged by professional celebrity chefs.
The show was a success; it was completely sold out, with people lined up to get in. It was a family-friendly day that featured crafts and face painting for the kids and even the Nestle Quick Bunny was there for photos with the kids. There were classes and contests, celebrity chef appearances, hundreds of delicious free samples for tasting, along with demonstrations of new kitchen tools and appliances, and a charity raffle.
This first annual LA Cookie Con show was presented by AKT Entertainment, LLC, who pledged to donate 10% of the tickets proceeds, and 100% of the proceeds from the baking contest and raffle to Children's Hospital in Los Angeles.
This event was so successful that it's bound to be an annual must-attend for those who have a sweet tooth and love pastries and baking.
