Since the school has been growing at a rapid pace there was a need for an improved way of communicating with their students. According to a spokesperson at IDance studios they wanted to create a webpage where their students could easily see and sign up for new courses. The new webpage makes it easy to book a course and allows for their students to pay directly thru paypal which also lessens the administration for the company. In the future customers will be able to buy online lessons and see video summaries of the classes they have attended thru the webpage. Currently all videos from the classes are posted in private groups on facebook.
Haven't heard of IDance Studios? IDance Studios is a dance school focused on the Latin American dances Salsa and Bachata. The school was started by Andreas Källman in the fall of 2014 and the first classes were held in January 2015. Andreas has been working as a dance instructor since 2008 at dance schools such as Salsa Sabrosa and Stockholm Salsa Dance and he has won the Swedish championships in Bachata twice. "Stockholm needed a new perspective on Salsa. The dominating Salsa schools had been teaching Salsa the same way for a long time and I wanted to do things differently" says Andreas who frequently travels to international dance congresses to get inspiration for his dance.
The new webpage will feature the IDance blog which will discuss different dance related topics concerning everything from dance etiquette to the history of Salsa and Bachata. It will also feature tips on how to improve the readers dance technique, it will include shines and exercise routines to strengthen the readers body and partnerwork routines that will help both men and women improve their leading/following skills.
There are plans for creating a forum on the webpage were people can share in dance experiences and find new friends to go out dancing with. "When new in the dancing world it can often feel scary to go to a Salsa place by yourself since you are uncertain about your dancing and you don't know anyone at the Salsa clubs" says Andreas. The forum will let dancers in Sweden find other people who are at the same level that they can go out dancing with. The goal of IDance studios new webpage is to be a portal of inspiration and motivation for all the aspiring dancers out there.
