The Costume Closet Hawaii was selected as a location for an episode of "Hawaii Five-0".

La Fontaine's business, a retail costume store, is located at 3007 Lincoln Avenue, Honolulu, Hawaii.
Sworn to secrecy by the show's producer, La Fontaine cannot divulge what happens in the Hawaii Five-0 episode, only that two scenes of the Hawaii Five-0 episode were shot on location at her store, The Costume Closet.
When asked how her store was selected as a location for the popular television show, La Fontaine said, "It was out-of-the-blue! I was contacted by the show's location scout and shortly after there were trucks with equipment, crew and cast filming at my store. It took about two days and it really was the highlight of my career as a store owner. Hawaii Five-0 is a legacy in Hawaii's entertainment and I am proud that my business was included in one of the episodes.
La Fontaine began her career in 1991 designing and manufacturing costumes for Hawaii's theater productions. "Ben Moffatt gave me my first professional job designing costumes for a production at the Windward Theatre," said La Fontaine. She went on to design productions for Manoa Valley Theatre, Mid-Pac Institute, Chaminade University, Diamond Head Theatre, and the Army Community Theatre. Then in 1995 with a small inventory of original costumes she opened The Costume Closet.
