(Entertainment-NewsWire.com, April 20, 2015 ) New York, New York -- StreetSnap, a company specializing in smartphone photography and videography, has just launched its selfie stick for smartphones and point-and-shoot cameras.
The device measures 9.8 inches when fully retracted and 43.3 inches when fully extended. It weighs 5.6 ounces and has a maximum carrying capacity of 16 ounces.
Smartphones can be attached to the selfie stick with the detachable adjustable clip. The clip adjusts from 5.5 cm to 8.5 cm, fitting most smartphones. Point-and-shoot cameras can be attached to the selfie stick with their tripod socket. It has a rubber grip and a hand strap for easily carrying it around and reducing the risk of dropping it.
The adjustable ball head allows for easily changing the position and angle of the camera when attached to the selfie stick.
A shutter button on the handle allows for pictures to be taken when the camera app is open on the smartphone, however, if using a point-and-shoot camera, the camera's self-timer will have to be used for taking pictures. The shutter button is compatible with smartphone's running iOS 5.01 or later and Android 4.22 or later and can be used for taking either pictures or video.
It doesn't require Bluetooth, a battery, or a remote to take pictures or video as it uses a cable to plug directly into the smartphone's headphone jack.
The selfie stick also has a groove on the pole that locks it in place when fully extended, keeping it stable and preventing it from wobbling or rotating.
