Popular events in Nashville coming to TPAC

(Entertainment-NewsWire.com, April 26, 2015 ) Nashville, TN -- The Tennessee Falun Dafa Association, in partnership with the Tennessee Performing Arts Center, has announced that it is presenting the famous Shen Yun show at the TPAC Andrew Jackson Hall on May 1-2, 2015. This performance is among the main highlights of the upcoming events in Nashville.
"The Shen Yun show is certainly one of the most awaited things to do in Nashville this coming month," says Loraine Harding, a dedicated TPAC theater-goer.

In Sydney, the Shen Yun show has been called "an explosion of color and movement" and regarded as a "perfect mix of technology and dance." Last year's tour has been dubbed by the USC's US-China Institute as "without question the largest and most sustained tour focusing on Chinese culture that's ever happened in the United States."
The performances include intricate dances and stunning acrobatic moves while also displaying ancient Chinese costumes. It recreates lighthearted fables while also hinting at political undertones that criticize the modern Chinese Communist government.

According to the Shen Yun Performing Arts, the performance showcases a classical Chinese dance meant to illustrate five thousand years of Chinese history. The new sound of the orchestra is a unique combination of East and West, while the costumes and animated backdrops transport viewers to a new world. This ancient culture has nearly been destroyed when the Chinese Communists took over the nation.

Based in New York, the non-profit Shen Yun Performing Arts has performed in more than a hundred cities over 5 continents all over the world. Its show has been performed in several world-renowned theaters including the Royal Festival Hall in London, the Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts in New York, the Kennedy Center in Washington DC, and Le Palais de Congrčs in Paris.

Members of royalty have attended in Europe, while the performance has garnered sold-out shows across Asia and the US. The wonders of Chinese civilization have become a modern cultural phenomenon. In 2006, the Shen Yun Performing Arts started out as a single troupe. Today, it has expanded into four troupes travelling all over the world.
The ticket prices range from $52 to $132. Tickets may be ordered by calling Shen Yun Ticketing at 1-888-974-3698 or calling the TPAC Box Office at 615-782-4040 from 10 AM to 6 PM on Mondays through Fridays.
