It was part of a natural progression that saw Kealoha come to life. Co-Founder Jodie Hart says "Music has always been a part of my life. I come from a family who has been involved in the music industry for over 35 years, plus I've always played instruments and sang in choirs growing up. Now with a family of my own I love the fact that I can pass onto my children the great passion I have for music, and everything that goes with it."
"It goes without saying that, with a father and 2 brothers still in the music industry, I'd come back to the family fold (but with a bit of a twist). Branching out on my own with a new company seemed like a dream opportunity, and one that I was happy to take on.
Music plays a vital role in everyday life - whether it's just for fun or a serious career, playing music to sick children in hospital, learning a new instrument or simply dancing around the house with your children - in one way or another, music can really light up your life. Our idea was to burn the creative candle with a new business and new ideas, and turn our dream into reality."
So the Kealoha journey started...from a company name and brand (it had to be fun yet edgy, but also have meaning and be true to the company's vision, Jodie says - "Kealoha means "the love" so it really suited us as we love music") to selecting products and designs, it's been a creative and collaborative process that Jodie has definitely enjoyed.
"Something that I truly love is the fact that music can bring people together, it's like a tie that binds...a shared love of an artist or particular genre of music, or a shared love of an instrument can bring many new friendships and relationships through that process. It's really quite special to help people achieve new goals and bring new passions to the forefront, simply through a mutual love of music. I am a person that definitely cannot live without music in my life in some way, shape or form!"
Musical instruments and accessories are Kealoha Music's main focus for now. Their website currently has their new collection of Ukuleles in stock, with accessories due to arrive any day.
