(Entertainment-NewsWire.com, September 23, 2015 ) Clearwater, FL -- Courtney Jones, Director of PR for Adventure Imaging Gear, a camera and smartphone accessory company, reports that their second generation selfie stick, the Selfie Snap Plus, is being adopted in increasing numbers by extreme sports enthusiasts, outdoorsmen and those engaged in aggressive activities. The updated selfie stick is proving more durable than previous models.
"Toughness was one of the things we addressed with this new stick," says Ms. Jones. "We've constructed the main shaft out of more durable materials, and it's thicker, so there's a lot less flex when you've got it fully extended. Not only that, you can extend it further than before. The Selfie Snap Plus was definitely engineered for active use."
The new selfie stick incorporates several features based on requests and recommendations from customers. First generation sticks were not as durable, did not extend as far, and also had issues with connectivity, camera response and battery life. Adventure Imaging Gear has addressed these issues with a fully wired model. The Selfie Snap Plus uses no batteries, and connects directly to the smart phone, thus eliminating potential connection issues with Bluetooth. The phone is connected directly to the stick via a cable into the headphone jack, which means pictures are snapped at the moment the button on the stick handle is pressed, with no loss of signal.
"Lost pictures were a big deal," says Ms. Jones. "Especially if you're hanging off a cliff or something and you might not get a chance at that shot again. Synching up Bluetooth and all else was a real problem. We've solved that by making the unit fully wired. Hook in the phone and you're ready to go, no further setup or battery checking required."
The Selfie Snap Plus is available on Amazon.
