When asked about his love for travelling, he said, "There is nothing like the excitement and anticipation of a new adventure, but those long hour on board can be quite a stressful experience." This was a common theme among many frequent travellers interviewed.
Granville shared some advice to make the flight more convenient for all. "Do store luggage in the compartment directly above the seat or as near as possible. Your smaller carry-on bags can be kept under the seat or in front so there is easy access to things needed. Fellow passengers will appreciate having space for their larger bags. I like to stay safe and secure by keeping my travel essentials close and stored in the Travel Wallet."
To make the flight more enjoyable, the other travellers agreed that rest was very important. "Be apologetic but firm in tone when feeling tired and not up to talking. Explain if a nap is needed or just some quiet time watching a movie or listening to music. And if someone nearby is snoring, ask for earplugs or rouse the snorer gently. Or move to a quieter spot" Granville adds.
Other travellers interviewed also agreed that the person sitting in the middle seat should be allowed to use the armrests, as they felt that this most inconvenient seat on the plane. Another point shared was before leaning back, one should check behind or at least let the person know, especially if they are eating or working on a computer. When leaving the seat to go to the restroom or stretch, it would be more pleasant to face others when crossing over them, or give them a chance to get up and give way. And it would be nice to also acknowledge with a thank you or smile.
Another bad habit of many is that impatient rush to get off the aircraft first. Pay attention to the announcements to see if any passengers with connections need to exit first. If standing in the aisle, allow the people in the row in front to have a chance to exit first. "No matter how tired you are, it pays to be polite and let those in a rush get off first. This makes a positive start to the grand adventure that awaits!" says the ever so bubbly co-owner.
