The Globeproof Money Belt is a undercover slim fanny pack with RFID blocking technology preventing electronic pickpocketing. It has a sturdy buckle, strong zippers, adjustable belt, soft fleece back panel and is made of ripstop nylon. It is sold exclusively on Amazon.
Globeproof launched the product in August 2015 in the United States and in October 2015 in Germany.
Due to the strong demand for the product in Germany Globeproof has already raised the price several times from initially 7.78 € to now 12.78 €.
"We didn't expect to sell this much right from the start, the demand for our money belt really blew us away. We are already in the process of ordering new inventory - after not even two weeks of selling!", a company spokesperson laughs. "We tried raising the price to slow down sales but we keep on selling more and more each day. It is a nice problem to have, but still stressful as we know we will not be able to get new inventory in fast enough at this rate."
However, sales in the US have slowed down too much for Globeproof. Therefore they have lowered their price there. "We were selling really well in the United States but ran out of inventory for a week. Since then it has been rather difficult to get some momentum again. Thus we have temporarily lowered our price to $9.78 to get sales to pick up again", the spokesperson explains. "It won't be for long, trust me", he laughs.
