(Entertainment-NewsWire.com, February 09, 2016 ) Atascadero, CA -- The Suzuki Music Association of California recently hosted their 28th Annual Suzuki Violin Graduation in San Francisco. Eighty-five students from around the state of California graduated from Suzuki Graduation levels spanning from the Book 1 Gossec Gavotte to the post-graduation piece, Mendelssohn Violin Concerto in E minor. Thirty-five other Suzuki violin students joined the graduates, some of whom participated by playing the orchestra part to the Vivaldi Concert in A minor.
The young musicians are all students of nine California teachers who pool their abilities to not only create a memorable graduation event for their students, but who also put together a violin institute in Santa Rosa, California every year. This year's Institute will bring together violin, cello and viola students and teachers from around the country to participate in an intensive four day training event from July 12th through July 15th.
Two of the Upado Unlimited Crew members are Suzuki Violin teachers who have students who performed at the recent Suzuki Violin Graduation. The final song of the concert was Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, and this song traditionally concludes each concert because it is the first song that the violin students learn, and this tradition allows all the students present to perform the final piece.
The Upado Unlimited Pattern Song Book that accompanies each Glockenspiel Xylophone was inspired by Dr. Shinichi Suzuki's use of simple folk songs to train new musicians, and the book includes Twinkle Twinkle Little Star. Upado Unlimited has also created a harmony piece to go with both Twinkle Twinkle Little Star and May Song.
Dr. Suzuki believed that all children have talent, and that music ability could be developed in everyone. He stressed the importance of starting early as well as the necessity of listening and repetition.
