These guitar picks are custom designed, in the best premium celluloid available, and made in a .60mm gauge for Vintage Tone and playability. This gauge is not common in celluloid so it gives more flexibility and brightness to the tone.
ToneWarrior answers the question, Why Vintage Tone? They say it is called Vintage Tone because years ago the outer shell casing of the Atlantic Hawksbill Sea Turtle (tortoise shell) was used to make guitar picks. They state these guitar picks produced a great tone using the tortoise shell for picks but was banned in the 70's. ToneWarrior states that Celluloid was and is popular because it closely imitates the Vintage Tone and flexibility of the tortoise shell pick.
