The River House Group has spent many years looking for the right wines to call their own and now they've finally found them: an original white and red. These unique wines are the perfect representatives of the restaurant and pub. The debut of these wines has definitively answered the question of where to drink wine in Delta.
The wines originate from grapes grown in Similkameen BC, one of the province's pre-eminent wine regions, by master winemaker Roger Hol who has over 30 years of growing experience. The River House Group is excited to introduce a merlot and a viognier, grown from grapes at Hol's Vineglass Winery.
The River House Merlot is full in body with lush velvety tannins. It's a wine that greets you with black currant, cherry and plum in a blend from both French and American oak. It is spicy hints of pepper are perfect to be enjoyed with seafood salad, prime rib, bbq ribs, or pasta carbonara.
The River House Viognier has elements of rose petal, honeysuckle, lychee, peach and mango that couples with a spicy perfume. This wine has a delicious fruity aroma and pleasing finish. It makes an excellent pairing with halibut salmon, turkey & seafood spaghettini or bouillabaisse.
