The company announced recently that it wants to help 100 families by extending a challenge: they are inviting families and individuals to make microloans to participants at Kiva at every country served by Kiva and scratch off the countries on a family world travel map to track progress. Participants complete the challenge and they get a free scratch map.
The aim of the Kiva Challenge is to help families teach children about entrepreneurship while also instilling altruism and a love of world travel. Kiva currently makes microloans in 80 countries around the world (the number of countries of the world supported by Kiva efforts varies). Gulliver Gear wants to support Kiva's global entrepreneurship efforts by inviting families (and individuals) to make loans to Kiva business owners around the globe.
The first 100 families and individuals who make Kiva loans to all 80 Kiva countries and send in their Kiva profile image and Gulliver Gear World Scratch Off Map image to Gulliver Gear using the form on their website get a free scratch off map from Gulliver Gear. Participants can then start a new challenge, or make a new scratch map challenge for themselves. The Family Travel Map Challenge is on now.

Emmer, passionate about world travel, has been to many of the countries she makes microloans in. She says she realizes that not everyone can physically travel around the world.
