The book was written to help parents (and guardians, caregivers, instructors, older kids and other adults) teach toddlers the concept of big, bigger and biggest.

According to the author, the lesson on "bigness" is presented through a story featuring the Easter eggs and the Easter bunny to make it quite interesting for the toddler( and even older children). The text of the story is only meant as a guide for the adult story teller who, hopefully, has the mental capacity to use and substitute words that would seem simpler in his or her opinion in narrating the story.
The toddlers this short story was written for are not expected to be able to read the book by themselves. However, they are expected to enjoy the colorful illustrations that are used to tell the story.
