These awards were handed out at the World Travel Market in November. Two thousand entries were submitted and the awards were handed out based on six months of research and consultation by the judges.
The recognition was awarded based on the idea that for two decades the small team of guides, guards, drivers, cooks, cleaners, mechanics, and managers at Rekero Camp, and the Acacia and Topi Houses, have strived to create a better place to live for local residents and a better place for travelers to visit.
