Opinion Poll Shows Government Efforts to Fail

(EMAILWIRE.COM, January 19, 2010 ) Destin, FL -- An over-whelming majority of Americans feel government efforts to fix the U.S. economy and the housing mess will fail, according to a new Housing Predictor poll.

Despite massive government efforts to repair the downturn, including multi-billion dollar bail-outs of big bankers the survey clearly shows confidence has been lost to fix the worst economy since the Great Depression.

The economic downturn started in real estate and then spread like a virus into the greater national economy. Unemployment tops 10% nationally and in some areas of the country, country, where the housing crisis is at its worst joblessness tops 40%.Visit Housing Predictor dot com to get the full details on the poll.

The federal government has allocated more than $5-trillion to aid the U.S. economy in recovering from the financial crisis. Congress approved an extension of the first time home buyers tax credit and expanded it to move-up buyers, who havenÂ’t purchased a principal residence in five years. The National Association of Realtors credits the first time home buyers credit with 2-million home purchases.

Consumers, bankers, mortgage companies, retail outlets and real estate firms consult Housing Predictor forecasts. The company was the first real estate research firm to forecast the foreclosure epidemic and the national housing depression. Housing Predictor forecasts real estate markets in all 50 states and offers real estate news and analysis on the housing market at http://www.housingpredictor.com
