With a little help from his grandfather, Billy Nash's screenplay "Mummies versus Vampires" is set to take off where "Harry Potter" ends!



William A. Nash, III has a thing for Mummies. At six years old he's had a fascination with Egypt, the Great Pyramids, the Sphinx and Hieroglyphics "…as long as I can remember." He taught himself to read at four and has been reading whatever he can about Ancient Egypt ever since.



Less than a year ago young Billy had a part in his grandfather's independent feature film shot in and around the Philadelphia area during the Summer and Fall, 2010. Billy tinkered with a mummy action movie with vampires. Over the next several months Billy and his grandfather would meet every spare moment to block out scenes, make notes, storyboard and discuss structure of the screenplay. "Mummies versus Vampires" took on a life of its' own. The story follows the life of eight year old Villain, a young boy torn between his commitment to become the next ruling king vampire and his longing to live as a real boy. When he meets eight year old mummy girl Maria, and needless to say they become fast friends, two worlds collide and the "War for the Night" reaches a whole new level. Mantis, the current king of the vampires and Villain's "teacher" and Mortimer, Maria's father, have a history of battles that stretch back thousands of years. Malice, Maria's older mummy brother, does his best to destroy any type of friendship between Villain and Maria.



"Close your eyes and let me read the scene back to you.", Joe would say to his grandson, "Use your imagination to let the movie play in your head." With that simple advice on screenplay format Billy found a new way to tell a story. "He's possibly the youngest copyrighted screenwriter in history!" added Joe.



On his first birthday Billy stopped the bottle, at two years old he decided he was going to have an animal rescue farm, at three years old he dropped the "Little" from his name, at four years old he taught himself to read and became super efficient on his mother's smart phone and computer. At five he made his motion picture debut and began formulating "Mummies versus Vampires" and at six years old became a big brother, a student of Acting at the Historic Walnut Street Theater in Philadelphia and a screenwriter. "Somebody needs to catch this kid on his way up!" Joe laughed. Billy graduates Kindergarten this June, 2011.



Billy has set the "goals bar" high at such a young age. When you talk about exploring The Great Pyramids and The Sphinx, Billy lights up. "I am so excited! Before I do anything, I want to go to Egypt!"
