(EMAILWIRE.COM, August 10, 2011 ) Truckee, CA -- Journeys Within Tour Company announces a group tour for this November 2011, highlighting the Journeys Within Our Community development programs started by company owners Andrea and Brandon Ross. This 16-night trip brings together the highlights of Cambodia, Laos and Myanmar with visiting the JWOC projects and seeing donations at work. As the first of its kind, and to allow for a $5,000 donation, Journeys Within Tour Company is offering this tour at-cost.
“Since we started Journeys Within Our Community in 2005 we have seen the amazing synergy that the that the tour company can have with the non-profit,” said Ross, “this tour is just an extension of that. We’re inviting JWOC donors to see the projects they have helped make possible as well as looking for like-minded travelers that want to see this amazing region, but also want to have a positive impact on the communities. I am excited to lead the tour and show people what JWOC has accomplished.”
This 16-night trip includes highlights such as Angkor Wat, Luang Prabang, Schwedagon Pagoda and Bagan, but above that, it introduces guests to the JWOC projects, including the Clean Water Project, which has given water to over 10,000 people in Cambodia, the Free Classes Project which offers extracurricular education to over 800 students in Cambodia and Laos and the JWOC Scholarship Program, which has almost 100 students attending university in Cambodia, Laos and Myanmar.
The tour runs November 11 through November 27, 2011 and Journeys Within is accepting applications now with a maximum trip size of twelve. The cost is $4,050 per person and Journeys Within is offering airfare out of LAX for SFO for $1,035 per person.
