Paris M&M still is the only app available to visitors to the art mecca which shows a complete listing of current exhibitions in the city. It also offers listings of hundreds of museums and monuments. “After implementing offline maps to the app, we still haven’t stopped tweaking it to make it the most useful app any visitor or local could own,” says Andrew Minh, Director of Operations of Paris Museums. “This includes expanding our database to make it as complete as possible.”
The complete directory of sites and exhibitions is viewable on the app’s offline map, as well as the app’s useful “search by nearest” feature, which shows the user which Paris Museum, monument or exhibition is nearest. Like the map, this feature works offline using the iPhone’s native GPS, at no roaming cost to the user.
