1.Resolution makers should identify the specific areas of their lives that they want to change. Then, take time to research as much information as possible on how they can change those areas for the better.
2.Resolution makers should develop an action plan. Any goal worth achieving should also be important enough for people to formally write down, type up, or record.
3.Resolution makers should make their goals realistic. People generally set themselves up for disappointment and discouragement by making their ambitions so drastically high that theyÂ’re almost impossible to reach.
4.Resolution makers should review their progress routinely. To make sure that theyÂ’re following their action plan, people should evaluate how well theyÂ’re doing at reaching their goals on at least a monthly basis.
5.Resolution makers should celebrate every success that they achieve. One of the best ways for people to motivate themselves to greater success in the future is by constantly reminding themselves of all the “little” victories that they have achieved along the way.
“The biggest problem with making New Year’s Resolutions is that it’s become mostly an empty, traditional ritual.” says the host. “What we all need to keep in mind is that resolving to make positive changes in our lives should not be just an annual event.
