Shot on HDTV, Racehoss, based on the highly successful autobiography by Albert Race Sample, tells the story of one man's journey to hell and back. Mr. Sample grew up as the angry son of a black prostitute, became a criminal and ended up serving 17 years in the brutal 'Retrieve' Texas penitentiary. After a spiritual transformation, he emerged a changed man and became a pillar of his community
