(EMAILWIRE.COM, March 12, 2012 ) Concord, CA -- Factory Entertainment, Inc. is proud to add a new dimension to Garfield collecting, as the worldÂ’s favorite cat leaps off the page in the form of a unique new 3D collectible.
Melding the world of sculptural fine art with the world's best known comic strip character, Factory EntertainmentÂ’s Garfield Gallery Edition Statue appeals to serious Garfield fans, as well as collectors of comic and animation art. The statue was sculpted from an original sketch drawn by Garfield Creator Jim Davis specifically for this project, and each piece is numbered and has been hand-signed by Mr. Davis. Only 500 pieces will be offered worldwide.
The statue captures Garfield in all his self indulgent, pot-bellied glory, basking in his own reflection in a full-length mirror. Cast from heavy grade polystone and hand painted, each piece stands 13” tall and measures over 14” wide.
Each statue comes with a certificate of authenticity, a numbered signature edition plaque hand-signed by Jim Davis and a full color display box. The Garfield Gallery Edition Statue has an MSRP of $399 and will be available through a select number of retailers beginning in late February 2012. It can also be ordered directly from Factory Entertainment at www.factoryent.com.
