New Acer Tablet, A510 Tablet, Offers Quad Core Computing Power Reports AcerTablet.Net

Iconia Tab is the latest Acer tablet in the market. This 10.1 inch tablet jumps on its accelerator powered by a quad-core chip. This Tegra 3 1.3 GHz model promises to deliver quicker on-screen reaction, fewer pauses and better multi-tasking.



The new Acer tablet also comes with new Android operating system, Ice Cream Sandwich. Acer also claims that the Iconia Tab has the longest battery life in any tablet device today.



According to Acer, its 9800mAh battery can power up the tablet for a maximum of 15 hours. Of course, real world test with video playing and with wi-fi turned on cannot match this, its staying battery power is definitely enviable as it can last one whole work day.



Externally, this A510 tablet is very nice with its high-quality finish of brushed aluminum bezel. This high quality finish continues even on the back cover. Its weight is at 685g. Hence, this is around 3 grams heavier than Apple’s new iPad. However, if you hold the two devices, the difference between them is hardly noticeable.



The A510 tablet boasts a 5MP camera in its back panel. For its front camera, the tablet features a 1-megapixel camera which you can use for web chat.



This new tablet will also feature Acer’s new software, Ring System, which promises to deliver fast access to your frequently used applications and other tablet controls. For instance, by simply tapping the Ring’s icon, you can easily access your favorite applications, volume controls and bookmarks.



It also comes with various connections such as slot for micro HDMI. Its internal memory can store up to a maximum of 32GB. You can also use microSD card for more external storage. You can connect to the Internet through wi-fi. However, the tablet is not yet 3G-capable.
