Devoted Batman fan spends $2 million on Personal Bat Lair inspired theatre reports ReclinerBoutique.com

(Entertainment-NewsWire.com, August 17, 2012 ) San Francisco, CA - Spending $2 million to live in the world of something you are devoted to is definitely way beyond the fulfillment of most common men, but a Batman fan proved himself up to the challenge and created his own underground lair, inspired by the new film ‘The Dark Knight Rises’.

Set with everything a serious Batman fan would want, from a Batmobile, a secret exit tunnel, Bat suits, a special cave-resembling custom ceiling, a 180-degree film screen and much more, the underground theater is definitely one of a kind.

The company behind the fan-crazed wonder is Canadian-based, Elite Home Theatre Seating, which specializes in meeting unique and custom demands all around North America. Their latest Batman-inspired project is currently underway at a private residence in Greenwich, Connecticut, USA, the home of the undisclosed super-fan.

Elite’s chief executive, Bobby Bala, is not doing this for the first time, but actually designed one prior to this just for the fun of it. Now, he can see things are getting serious.

“Personally, I'm a huge Batman fan and with a background in CG animation, we were able to finish up the design within a couple weeks,” Bala told the Dailymail.co.uk.

Covering an area of nearly 12,000 square feet, the cinema definitely fulfills the craving of any Batman fan and exceeds the aspirations of anyone who would imagine building one of their own. For certain, Batman himself would be proud to see it and would likely have difficulty differentiating it from his own bat lair.

With the capacity to seat 12 people, it seems to be the perfect hangout spot for any group of friends wanting to enjoy the Batman movie as if they were actually part of the whole thing. With formal bookcases and many movie-inspired gothic art pieces, realizing that the experience was just a movie might not that be easy when the film ends and the lights come up.
