Football start Kewell leaves Melbourne, Australia townhouse without paying rent reports ElevationMelbourne.com.au

(Entertainment-NewsWire.com, August 21, 2012 ) San Francisco, CA -- Celebrated footballer Harry Kewell is alleged to have disappeared from his town of residence without paying liabilities in house rent worth $20,000. This was due on the athlete’s townhouse in Melbourne that is priced at millions of dollars. This action has resulted in the filing of a lawsuit by the landlords.

The conflict between Kewell and Melbourne Victory, the club he did a brief stint at, still continues; Kewell is owed well over $250,000 by the club for his participation in the previous season. The club, however, refuses to reimburse the athlete till the disputes between its two sparring managerial firms are cleared.

One of the landlords of the townhouse by the name of John Gdanski, who is also a director at the St. Kilda Football Club, revealed to The Sun-Herald that along with his partner, former AFL athlete Fraser Gehrig, would pursue the case in the court of law against Kewell’s previous managing firm by the name of Max Sports.

Mr. Gdanski seeks the Victorian Tribunal to favour the confiscation of all Kewell's possessions from the property of Collins Street. The star and his family came back unexpectedly last month to Great Britain, in spite of a proposal of a fresh two-year contract with the Melbourne Victory club at an estimated $1 million per season.

It was further revealed that the rent had not been paid since June and the lease is to expire in the coming month of October. It is thought to have been guaranteed by the star’s ex-agent, Bernard Mandic. He was laid off by the athlete in the previous year and substituted with James Erskine.

However, the Melbourne Victory club decided not to comment while Mr. Mandic could not be contacted for his opinion.
