(Entertainment-NewsWire.com, August 22, 2012 ) Peoria, Illinois -- The Trans-Siberian Orchestra has announced the official schedule of their shows this coming winter. Their winter presentation will be entitled The Lost Christmas Eve, which will bring the group’s 2004 Christmas presentation full circle. The Orchestra will spend a total of six weeks of the upcoming holiday season touring North America, taking two simultaneous routes. This will be the first time that the Trans-Siberian Orchestra will bring the multi-platinum rock opera from coast to coast.
The Orchestra will be divided into two, with one group set to begin in Peoria, Illinois on the 15th of November 2012 and another group set to perform on the same day in Council Bluffs, IA. The entire tour will touch a total of 59 cities with several stops. Each stop will have two performances. The tour will wrap up on December 30 with shows in Milwaukee and Columbus.
Other cities included in the tour are East Lansing, Cincinnati, Colorado Springs, Toledo, Denver, Hamilton, Uncasville, Salt Lake City, Spokane, Manchester, Seattle, Portland, Wilkes Barre, Richmond, Sacramento, Ontario, Charlotte, Greenville, San Diego, Glendale, Raleigh, Greensboro, Las Vegas, and Rochester, among several others.

The Lost Christmas is the third Christmas effort from the Orchestra. It will be the last installment of the trilogy, which they began back in 2004. The album consists of 23 songs and dwells on loss and redemption in New York City. The set includes R&B, classical, folk, and Broadway elements, promising a versatile and engaging presentation to audiences.
Aside from The Lost Christmas, the Orchestra’s winter shows will also feature music from their newer fall release entitled Dreams of Fireflies (On A Christmas Night). While the entire schedule for The Lost Christmas has been released, there is no announcement made regarding the exact schedule of the Dreams of Fireflies shows.
Prior to the 2004 staging of The Lost Christmas, the Trans-Siberian Orchestra began gathering loyal followers when they released their first album, Beethoven’s Last Night, back in 2000. It remains as their only non-Christmas album until now. The album conceptualizes Beethoven’s last night on earth, which was presented using a full 60-piece orchestra and a choir. By 2004, the group began touring with 14 vocalists, 14 musicians, and 2 narrators.
The Trans-Siberian Orchestra was founded by Paul, O’Neill, Robert Kinkel, and Jon Oliva in 1996. The main concept was for a band to play Christmas carols in a modern rock opera style. Although it was not warmly received at first, it quickly became popular among those who would like to see a different take on the opera and on an orchestra.
