EugeneÂ’s Bulk Handling System designs the largest material recovering system in the world reports Kinder.com.au

(Entertainment-NewsWire.com, August 22, 2012 ) San Francisco, CA -- Bulk Handling Systems of Eugene played a pivotal role in designing the world’s largest material recovery system or recycling system at the Newby Island Resource Recovery Park situated in Northern California.

Since 2005, the Eugene company has been building recycling systems. They were hired by Republic Services Inc. to build a massive recycling system that could handle and process 110 tons of waste per hour to generate new items for further recycling. This recycling system intends to standardise to recover at least 80 percent of waste materials.

The Republic Services (NYSE: RSG) recycling system will handle and process the waste of almost 80,000 businesses in San Jose city as they have signed a 15-year contract.

For that purpose, Republic Services hired Bulk Handling Systems of Eugene to design and manufacture the machinery required to power the biggest recovery system in the world at the Newby Island Resource Recovery Park.

The origin of Bulk Handling Systems was back in the 1970s and was designed to manufacture machinery for wood industry.

However, CEO Steve Miller started to focus on manufacturing recycling equipment in 2005.

In a press release, Miller stated, “This advanced facility is ahead of the curve. It’s the first of its kind and is a fantastic example of how the scope of our industry is expanding to recover materials from a wide variety of waste streams.”

The Bulk Handling Systems avoided disclosing its revenue but the increasing number of employees indicates that they have grown much bigger today as compared to 2006.

In 2006, there were only 40 employees working for the company; in 2012, the number has reached 220 employees.

Since 2006, the company has installed 55 recycling systems; the cost of a complicated system can be exceed $20 million.

The company is growing by leaps and bounds. Company official Peter Raschio said that Bulk Handling Systems will install 11 more systems before the end of 2012 which indicates its success in manufacturing of recycling equipment.
