It was reported that Ms. McLaren said that she showed this painting to an auctioneer whose name was Harry Robertson. Robertson was ‘stunned and staggered’ when he saw this painting; he was even speechless for the moment.
The Daily Mail said in a report that this painting may be a painting of Mary Magdalene. In this painting Mary Magdalene she is holding her child. Experts are analyzing this painting for its origin and age; this analysis is taking place at Cambridge University as well as at the Hamilton Kerr Institute. The experts are trying to find the exact origin of this painting and to find the age of this painting as well.
If this painting is not an original one by da Vinci, it must be from da Vinci School. It is believed that this painting could be a creation by one of the pupils of a master painter in the sixteenth century,
The painting was found to have an attached papal bull on its backside, which shows that it may have the origin in the period of Pope Paul 5. Pope Paul the Fifth was the head of the Catholic Church in the early seventeenth century.
McLaren said in an interview that the faded paper has a visible word “Magdalene” on its front, which shows the name of the lady in the painting. McLaren also said that there is a possibility that the painting will be purchased by a museum. McLaren said that she plans to donate some percentage of the auction price to charity.
