(Entertainment-NewsWire.com, September 14, 2012 ) Boston, MA – Musician Joshua Radin released his fourth studio album entitled ‘Underwater’ last July 2012. The album is Radin’s third release under Mom and Pop Records.
On November 3 Saturday, Joshua Radin will bring his Underwater Tour 2012 to Boston. The famed singer will perform at the Orpheum Theatre at 7:30 PM. The one-time performance is part of Radin’s tour, which is promoting his new album.
Ohio-born Joshua Radin is of Polish, Austrian, German, and Russian descent. The Cleveland native never dreamed of becoming a professional musician when he was young. Upon moving to New York, he taught himself to play and write music and eventually made it big with the help of American actor Zach Braff, who introduced Radin’s first composition entitled ‘Winter’ to the creator of Braff’s show ‘Scrubs’. Since then, Radin’s songs have been used in the hit TV series repeatedly and have been used in several other TV shows, including 90210, American Idol, Brothers and Sisters, Bones, Cougar Town, Gossip Girl, Grey’s Anatomy, House M.D., One Tree Hill, and several others. His song ‘Paperweight’ was also featured in the 2010 film Dear John.
Joshua’s first three albums include 2006’s We Were Here, 2008’s Simple Times, and 2010’s The Rock and the Tide. Upon release, his second album went straight to number 1 on the iTunes chart, while his third jumped straight to number five. He has also released six EPs and has recorded duets with several artists including Ingrid Michaelson and Schuyler Fisk.
The November 3 show at the Orpheum Theatre will be part of a series of shows promoting his new album. Prior to his Boston show, he will perform at the Wells Fargo Center in Santa Rosa and in several other venues in San Francisco, Vancouver, Winnipeg, Chicago, Detroit, New York, Philadelphia, Toronto, and Montreal.
After Boston, Joshua Radin will move on to Charlottesville, Durham, Atlanta, Nashville, Birmingham, Houston, Austin, Dallas, and Los Angeles, among several others.
Radin has been touring since shortly before the release of his third album. He has been in Napa, Boise, Salt Lake City, Des Moines, Milwaukee, Cincinatti, Ridgefield, Huntington, Cleveland, Englewood, Alexandria, and Norfolk.
